Sensory development relates to a child’s ability to gather and understand information from the environment through any of the five senses—hearing, tasting, touching and/or smelling. Children develop a sensory preference (how they prefer take in information) and a sensory process (how they respond to sensory input).
The Q-Ball Extreme is comprised of two, lightweight, bright yellow tennis ball-sized rubber balls imprinted with black numbers on the Balls’ 10 flattened dimples. The Balls’ flattened dimples provide a mild, erratic bounce to when struck on a surface. As such, the primary purpose of the Q-Ball Extreme is develop a player’s hand-eye coordination and reaction time.
Tilting Disc is a brightly colored round balancing board designed to be enjoyed by children through adults! Stepping onto the 9’ green disc, players are immediately challenged to shift weight between their feet, arms and torso to stay atop as the thick rubber connector between the disc and the base flexes under the weight of the player. Great for kids of all ages!
The Weplay Squeezer is a set of three hand-squeezable silicon rings that develop tactile awareness and provide tactile input and stimulation. Each 2.5” ring is a different bright color with differing levels of resistance to progressively improve grip strength. Additionally, the rings have small, low-profile, soft, rounded nubs on them to provide additional sensory input and improve circulation.
